UKDE Engineering was founded in 2007. Our company, which has been engaged in the production of glow plugs since its establishment, has reached an annual production capacity of 2.5 million. By rapidly increasing our production capacity, we started exporting to a single country in the Middle East and after 2011 by adding the European market, we now supply 36 countries.
All glow plugs for diesel vehicles are produced in OEM quality to meet the high requirements.

SVAC Quality Policy
In 2016, after signing a production agreement with one of the world's leading ignition manufacturers, we established the new factory at its current location and certified with ISO 9001 Quality Certificate and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Certificate. The new transfer of know-how on manufacturing technology and production methodology has now been applied to the entire glow plug production.
At the request of OEMs, in 2023 we started supplying OES materials. Again at the request of OEMs, we invested in a brake hose factory and supplied first the OEMs and then the aftermarket.

GLOW PLUGS
Diesel engines are fitted with glow plugs that protrude into the cylinder. This ensures that the diesel engine starts reliably at low outside temperatures and runs quietly and with low emissions during the warm-up phase. The glow plugs must provide a high temperature for ignition support in the shortest possible time. They must also maintain this temperature independently of the ambient conditions and even adjust it depending on them.
During preheating, a high current initially flows via the connecting bolt and the control coil to the heating coil. This heats up quickly and causes the heating zone of the glow plug to glow. The glow spreads quickly and after two to five seconds the heating rod glows close to the plug body. This further increases the temperature of the control coil, which has already been heated by the current.
As a result, the electrical resistance of the control coil increases and the current is reduced to such an extent that the glow plug cannot be damaged. It is therefore not possible for the glow plug to overheat. If there is no start, the glow plug is switched off by the glow time control unit after a certain standby time. Older vehicles are usually fitted with glow plugs that only glow before and during the starting phase. There is no replacement interval for glow plugs. They therefore remain in the engine for a long time. As a result, they can become very tight in the thread, making them difficult to remove. It is important not to exceed the recommended breakaway torque when loosening.
